Presentation of the Report on Digital Childhood
This is a nationwide study that takes an in-depth look at the relationship between technology and childhood and adolescence, aiming to better understand the lives of children and teenagers in digital environments. It is based on three reports that gather the perspectives of families, teachers, and nearly 100,000 minors.
The session will focus on the global dimension of the challenge, the goal of generating rigorous knowledge to inform public policies and coordinated actions, and a child-centered approach that incorporates young people’s participation in the design of the study. It will also address the methodological robustness and data processing that have enabled the production of qualitative and quantitative results at both national and regional levels. The presentation will conclude with the main findings of the report and a space for dialogue to reflect on how to move toward a safer, more inclusive, and more responsible digital environment.
