The New Sovereignty: Quantum Power and the redesign of the Global Technological Map

Roundtable focused on the strategic role of quantum technology as a key driver of today’s global geopolitical competition. No longer confined to research labs, the development of quantum hardware, secure communications and critical infrastructure is already shaping technological sovereignty. The session will examine Spain’s positioning in this race —through a national strategy, new infrastructures and emerging industrial capabilities— bringing together key players across the entire quantum stack to discuss whether Europe can achieve genuine quantum sovereignty or will remain dependent on major technological powers.
